Talking Groups
Talking groups are topic based groups for children and teenagers who have similar life experiences. Topics such as anxiety, low self-esteem, bullying, exam stress and friendship issues are explored.
Joining a talking group will allow children and young people to feel the relief of having shared experiences and not feel so alone.
Trust, connection and boundaries are central to these groups. They provide a non-judgemental safe space built on empathy, compassion and understanding where thoughts, feelings and experiences can be shared. Participation is encouraged but it is not forced. My groups are confidential, what is said in the group stays in the group.
Groups are aimed at children and young people aged 9 to 18 years old. For the best possible outcomes groups are made up of 6-8 participants and run for 6 weeks.
