Emotional Wellbeing Support

Seeking emotional wellbeing support provides a safe space to allow children and young people to explore, process and understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be interfering with their life at home, school and within friendships.

Building a supportive, trusting relationship with children is about acceptance, listening with empathy, showing curiosity and consistency. Emotional wellbeing support will allow them find their voice, develop autonomy and increase self-esteem. Through play and the use of art my aim is to help children and young people have belief in themselves, their abilities, develop a positive sense of self and ultimately become independent and reach their full potential.

Our Process

Step 1

Upon enquiry an online or face to face consultation is scheduled to discuss your requirements, collect further information and get an idea of your goals. The first session will be scheduled.

Step 2

Emotional wellbeing support will continue for a minimum of 6 weeks. Sessions will take place once a week for 50 minutes either face to face or online. Sessions are confidential however your child is free to tell you what they want about their sessions.

Step 3

After 6 weeks a consultation will be scheduled with parents to discuss progress and next steps. You may be advised to continue for a further 6 weeks, reduce sessions to every 2 weeks or stop altogether. It is dependent on the mentor and progress made.
