Screening Tests
Screening Tests are used to evaluate children and young people’s mental health, learning attitudes and academic progress as well as identify SEND.
Whether your wondering about your child’s progress, see a change in their behaviour or think your child may have a learning difficulty, screening tests can help identify red flags, unexpected academic gaps and a mismatch between potential and attainment. They will allow you to seek early help at school and help you decide whether to get a professional diagnosis or seek further professional support.
Types of Tests
I offer a range of screening tests for children aged 7-18 years old to help you understand how your child feels about school, themselves and their friendships as well as provide insight as to whether your child might be neurodiverse. Tests such as the The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, a brief behavioural questionnaire for children and young people covering peer relations, emotional symptoms and hyperactivity, and many other tests can provide further insight into your child’s learning abilities and emotional wellbeing needs. Screening for learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia can help you make informed decisions regarding seeking a professional diagnosis as well as seek early help support in school.

Our Process
Step 1
Upon enquiry an online or face to face consultation is scheduled to discuss your concerns, discuss the screening tests and how they work. Should you want to go ahead screening tests will be scheduled.
Step 2
Screening tests will be administered in the convenience of your own home or online. The time it takes to complete the screening tests is dependent on your needs and what is recommended. More than 1 screening test may be required.
Step 3
Once the screening tests are complete, they will be taken away to be assessed.. A report will be compiled to include my findings, any strengths, and recommended next steps.
Step 4
If required a follow up consultation can be booked to discuss the report and any next steps and recommendations should you have any questions or need clarification.
